My proper name is Shanon \"Randy\" Holm and I am running for Commissioner of the Pasco Canton Musquito Command Commune, Seat One. I was proudly born and raised in the great Country of Florida. I accept lived and worked hither in Pasco Canton since 2007. I am very committed to the community, and currently serve on the post-obit committees: Pasco Republican Executive Committee Relay for Life of New Port Richey � Assistant Logistics Chair 9-11 Memorial Walk/Run 5K of Gulf Harbors � Commission Member In the past, I have served as an intern for the Republican Political party of Florida, and have volunteered in the Pasco Republican headquarters in New Port Richey for the last ii election cycles. This is my kickoff run for Political Office. I believe equally a fiscal bourgeois with my community service background I would be the best person to oversee the 11 million dollar Pasco Musquito Control Budget. Ane of the main problems with government and many politicians today is the mentality that only because the coin is in the upkeep they must spend it. The assumption is that if all money allocated in the upkeep is not spent, then the budget could be cutting the post-obit twelvemonth. My view is that if the budget tin can be cut while still providing slap-up Mosquito Command services, and so the upkeep SHOULD be cutting and information technology would be my duty as your commissioner to vote for those cuts. The money does non belong to the Musquito Command Board it belongs to the taxpayers of Pasco County. If elected my goal is not but to do what information technology takes to win another ballot. I feel that if elected, the voters of Pasco Canton have entrusted me to do a job and expect me to keep the promises I made on the campaign trail. That is precisely what I volition do. If elected, I make the following pledges to do my role to change things on the Board for the better. I will never accept campaign contributions from vendors or people that exercise business with Mosquito Control. I believe that if y'all accept those contributions, then the companies or individuals giving those donations may expect favors from you in the hereafter, and this is not the way that I would ever desire to run a campaign. I will never vote to spend taxpayer dollars unless the expenditure is a proven need and is a benefit to Pasco County. I volition never vote to requite a bid to whatever qualified company doing business with the Lath, unless they are the LOWEST bidder. I believe voting whatsoever other way is unacceptable. I will never vote for a tax increase. I will always be held accountable and accessible.
